Corporate gifts have provided some relief to companies who are lacking in funds for promotional purposes. It gives them an opportunity to push their products and services in their target market without investing too much money.  With a wide range of products available in the industry, it is unlikely for firms not to find an item that will aid in their promotion.

When my former officemate opened his restaurant business, he utilized promotional peanuts as his advertising material. This was somehow related to the kind of business he is venturing into and that is food. Aside from peanuts, he also gave away other promotional food items to introduce his products and services to prospective clients.

My brother-in-law did the same thing when he established his promotional watch repair business. What he did was he imprinted the name of his company on the promotional clocks that he distributed. By doing so, the customer would be able to recall the business name of my brother-in-law.

My cousin was an insurance agent but instead of utilizing business cards, he had several sets of promotional post its printed and then he engaged in notepad marketing. I guess he did the right thing: business cards would just be ignored so why invest on something expensive when you have a cheap alternative.
